Sandals Regency La Toc Review
After visiting several Caribbean islands, we thought we had seen it all. But few places can compare to the lush rolling mountains, sparkling ocean views, and natural surroundings of Saint Lucia. We recently visited Sandals Regency La Toc with Air Canada Vacations and had an incredible experience from beginning to end. Now we’re sharing our tips on restaurants, activities, rooms, butlers and more in this Sandals Regency La Toc Review.
Getting to Saint Lucia
Located a quick 5-hour flight away from Toronto, we arrived in Saint Lucia fresh and ready to get our vacation on. With flights to Saint Lucia with Air Canada Vacations twice weekly year round and daily in peak travel season, we had the flexibility to plan our vacation according to our own schedule. Package vacation bookings with Air Canada Vacations always include one free checked bag each.
Arrival
During our 1 hour private transfer from the airport to the resort, we came across gorgeous coastal towns and jungle views. Once you arrive you’ll ascend down the regal gated driveway, past the golf course and into the stunning 220-acre property that hugs the coast.
We headed to Butler Elite lounge located on the Southern tip of the resort and admired the property along the way. We were greeted by cold, refreshing towels and delicious rum punch before completing our suite check-in.
Sandals La Toc Rooms
There are 331 rooms and suites with 24 different room categories to suit every level of luxury. Each room hosts a gorgeous mahogany four-poster king size bed, fit for royalty. Sandals Regency La Toc is well known for their Millionaire Suites with Private Pools and Butler Service, but we felt super spoiled in our Sunset Bluff Oceanview Butler Suite (RP1).

What We Loved
We had a great view of the sea from our balcony and enjoyed mornings lounging with room service and coffees in hand. Having the soaking tub with curtains was a nice treat as we don’t experience this privacy at other resorts.
The large dining area in the living room area was great for enjoying room service snacks at any time of day. Whether it was a surprise sushi lunch, mango daiquiris, or a late night snack of fresh baked cookies & milk, our butler knew how to treat us!
The Bar
The mini-fridge was stocked up daily and full of our favorites. It had a selection of water, a variety of fruit juice, tonic water, and soda including ginger ale, diet coke, coke, and sprite. Just let your butler know what you want more of and they’ll expedite all room service orders.
Our premium alcohol selection included full bottles of Robert Mondavi Twin Oaks red wine (cabernet sauvignon) & white wine (pinot grigio), Johnnie Walker blended scotch whiskey, Absolut vodka, Appleton rum, and Tanqueray Gin.
Sandals Butler Elite Service
It’s true that your Butlers will bring you food and drinks 24/7 but this service doesn’t end in the room. Butlers will serve you all over the resort including on the beach and poolside. They’ll also do a private room check-in, unpack your bags, provide your private transportation around the resort, and make your dinner reservations.
There are only two restaurants here requiring reservations – Kimonos, the Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant, and La Toc, the white-glove service French Cuisine restaurant. However, as a Butler Elite guest, you not only get a reservation, but your butler will have a special table set up for you, seat and serve you drinks immediately, then liaise with housekeeping to ensure your room is ready once you’re done.

Special Touches
Each night we’d return home to find a new treat waiting for us on our living room table. For turndown service, there are chilled water bottles and slippers waiting bedside, with a beautiful turned down bed dusted with rose petals.
Our butler quickly learned our favorite treats and kept them coming no matter what time of day. This included multiple installments of freshly baked cookies, chocolate fudge cake with caramel, and two glasses of fresh milk.
Sandals Regency La Toc Restaurants
During our five night stay, we tried over half of the nine restaurants and eight bars on property at Sandals Regency La Toc. The restaurants cover a wide variety of cuisine from around the world with Sandals 5-Star Global Gourmet. We enjoyed the sophisticated French cuisine at La Toc, traditional Italian at Armando’s, Japanese Teppenyaki at Kimono’s and classic St Lucian influenced dishes at The Pitons.
With Sandals’ exclusive Stay at One, Play at Three Exchange Program, you can enjoy all 27 restaurants on the island at no extra cost. And complimentary round-trip transfers between all three Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia run all day. That’s 9 Sandals La Toc restaurants, 12 Sandals Grande St Lucian restaurants, and 6 Sandals Halcyon Beach restaurants! So many options, not enough time!
Sandals Room Service
The in-room menu covered all of our favorites and is available 24/7 as a Butler Elite Guest. Our butler served us an impressive private breakfast on our balcony and we weren’t shy about ordering everything we wanted!
An additional perk of having a Butler Suite is ordering dishes from any resort restaurant and having them delivered to your room. With the exception of Soy Restaurant.
Freshwater Pools
The coast may be calling, but if you’d rather live the #poollife there are 3 freshwater pools to choose from. Opt for the quiet pool and you’ll find yourself relaxing in peace in the middle of the resort. It’s located beside the Piano bar and just a stroll away from delicious eats at Neptunes & Bella Napoli.
The Main Pool is near the front of the resort and hosts a lot of unique features. Aside from the integral swim-up bar, you’ll also find a grotto with mini waterfalls, a whirlpool and tons of Sandals pools floats here. In addition, there’s table tennis, a cozy fire pit area, and multiple private gazeboes to lounge in nearby.
The third pool is in front of Armando’s at the top of the hill near the Sunset Bluff area. Not only was it close to our room, but it also had a swim-up bar, grotto waterfall, and whirlpool available just as the main pool does. Just off the pool, there are three floating decks at different heights with seating areas, one hosting a fire pit. So we highly recommend enjoying a sunset here at least once!
Sandals Regency La Toc Spa
We usually opt for an entire relaxation day during our stay. As such, we made plans to visit The Red Lane Spa in advance. We indulged in a couples massage to let our worries melt away with a prime beachfront setting. It included listening to the waves of the ocean while feeling strokes of oil being painted on our bodies. Pure bliss!
After this, we enjoyed some fruit and dipping chocolate together while sipping on some “ChamBerry”. This is all part of the ‘Tropical Paradise’ 60-minute couples massage which ends with full access to water therapies, the sauna, and steam rooms.
Activities
If you don’t want to relax your day away, there are lots of activities to try. The 9-hole executive-style Sandals Regency La Toc Golf course is located right on property with sweeping views of the ocean. Green fees are included in your stay however club rentals, private instructions, and caddies are an additional charge. There are complimentary group golf clinics twice per week so you can brush up on your game and get swinging! And they host morning group tennis clinics with a professional instructor.
All land and water activities are complementary and the beach is great for snorkeling, riding a hobie cat, playing volleyball, and kayaking. They even offer unlimited complimentary scuba diving for certified PADI divers. If you’re not certified, a scuba dive pool is on-site to allow you to learn and become DSD certified (for an additional fee).
Nightlife
After dinner each night we looked forward to being serenaded with live music, jazz performances, and pianists. Shadi’s favorite event was the chocolate party which also falls on ‘white night’ where everyone dresses in white (challenge accepted!). The chocolate flows weekly and includes live music, dancing, LOTS of chocolate dipping, truffles, and decadent treats.
My (Kristin’s) favorite event was the beach party. The night was filled with Caribbean steel drums, fire dancers, and an endless buffet of barbecue. We met some new friends at our table and sipped drinks out of freshly cut coconuts. There’s nothing better than getting your feet in the sand and enjoying some seriously good barbeque!
The Sandals Foundation
You can participate in activities through The Sandals Foundation and have a meaningful role in supporting the local community. These activities vary from resort to resort, but all focus on three core foundations; education, community, and environment. For example, in Saint Lucia you can bring books for local school children and actually visit and read to them. Contact the resort for more information on how you can become involved in one of these incredible programs.

2 Go up to the viewing area.
You’ll find it at the top of the hill, directly in front of the Butler Elite Lounge in the Sunset Bluff area. Enjoy beautiful cascading views of the beach, mountains, boats, and cruise ships passing by.
3 Take in all the Sunset Views.
On the southern area of the resort near Armando’s you’ll find the most beautiful sunset views. Watch from around the pool, on the decks, or in some cases, your room. They call this the Sunset Bluffs area for a reason!
4 Get a made to order omelette at The Pavillion.
Chef Agnes is a sweetheart and is sure to start your day off right with her positive vibes. Shout out to Aggie, we miss your morning smiles! Say hello from Vacation Couple when you see her. Thanks in advance!
5 Have a smoothie with fresh bananas or mangos.
You won’t regret this sweet treat! Saint Lucia is known for these delicious fruits, so enjoy as much as you can while you’re here. You’ll thank me later.
Did you know: There are over 25 different types of mangos growing in Saint Lucia? Everyone we spoke to said their favorite kind was “Julie” because it had the perfect level of sweetness.
6 Rent a cabana for the day.
Having your own cabana is a great way to have privacy, comfort, and dedicated personal service. And it’s most useful if you don’t have a Butler. It’s like renting a Butler for the day!
7 Love the gym?
The treadmills and weights will always be close by as there’s a gym on each end of the resort. They also offer group fitness classes and morning tennis lessons by certified professionals! The daily newspapers, Sundials, have up-to-date activity schedules so you can browse and plan as needed. There’s also a posted weekly schedule at the bottom of the stairs on the right in the main lobby.
8 Loathe the gym?
Try a morning walk or jog through the golf course paths instead of the gym. You’ll be outdoors with fresh air, feeling like you’re exploring the jungle, but with endless cocktails at the end to celebrate.
9 The Sandals Exchange Program.
