Armar House Review
Melody Maker Cancun Review
Welcome to the new hot spot on the Cancun Strip, the Armar House Resort. We visited this stylish lifestyle resort with Air Canada Vacations when it was the Melody Maker Resort in 2019 and had an incredible music-fueled experience. Now we’re sharing all the details we’ve learned in this Armar House review.

Things to Know Before Visiting Armar House
The Armar House is all-inclusive resort filled with modern designs, gourmet dining, and an unmatched location on the strip. It has an upper deck containing three small wading pools (with 5th floor access), plus a large central pool, and a lower pool area that used to serve as a lively beach club in Cancun. The former resort held the Delirio Day Club, which hosted both resident and local DJs that kept the vibe alive.
This former lifestyle resort also held some of the biggest music festivals in Mexico, with high profile DJs like Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, and Armin Van Buuren headlining shows. The energy you’d feel while swaying in the crowd would have you coming back for more.
How does this resort compare to other all-inclusive resorts? Here are five things you need to know before visiting the Armar House in Cancun, Mexico.
5 >> Style & Design Goals
The decor was clean, bright, and modern, which made taking photos around the property a breeze. We had a few favorite spots that offered up privacy, relaxation, and luxury.
The Rooms
With recent renovations, the modern style is evident on the property and within each of the 679 rooms here. The rooms hold beautiful Cancun views that line the strip, come with complimentary Wi-Fi, and each holds a stocked minibar (maybe the most important thing of all?)!
You’ll receive premium amenities that are restocked as needed and select rooms have next-level features.
We’re talking giant soaking tubs and televisions that emerge from the base of your bed with the touch of a button!
You can watch detailed video reviews and tours of all three room categories we stayed in by clicking on each below.
Get up close and personal with a Ocean View Junior Suite.
Enjoy the incredible views from an Ocean View Room.
Pamper yourself with an Ocean Front Swim Out Villa.
The Property
The Beach Club has a prime location with indoor and outdoor seating with ideal views. The romantic possibilities are endless and it’s a spot to hold wedding receptions and special events.
You’ll feel like you’re exploring the jungle in the lush Asian fusion restaurant, Botanico. Even if you don’t enjoy dinner here, come for a drink and the best views of the inner property.

4 >> The Delirio Day Club is a HOT SPOT
The crowd is from all around the world, there’s an upbeat and carefree vibe, and it all comes with luxury digs and bottle service. The Delirio Day Club is literally the new hot spot of the strip for both guests and locals!
While this resort was still the Melody Maker, from Monday until Thursday all guests of the resort were free to use any Cabana on property. From Friday until Sunday, order a minimum of 2 bottles to reserve your premium cabana for the day and party was ON!
We enjoyed a wicker seat one afternoon in the sun, got to meet new friends, and had great service (piña coladas’ kept flowing!).
3 >> Melody Maker Cancun Concerts & Music Festivals
Being the new social epicenter, visiting the Melody Maker Cancun meant attending a legendary show as they featured top DJs from around the world. These musical festivals in paradise also featured the largest videomapping screen in the world (53,820 square feet of electric visual effects).
We enjoyed shows by Don Diablo, Afrojack, and Armin Van Buuren during our recent stay. The energy was palpable during each show and everyone happily bounced to the music each night. There is truly nothing else like this and we absolutely recommend this unique music festival in paradise!
2 >> Melody Maker Cancun Restaurants
We were pleasantly welcomed with a variety of options and gourmet meals at the resort. Not all-inclusive resorts are made equally and the Melody Maker Cancun left us wanting more with each bite.
Coffee Corner
In the morning you could find us at the coffee shop grabbing an iced Nespresso before heading to the buffet for a plethora of breakfast treats.
Black Sheep Restaurant
This modern space has an absolute *mood* and serves up a variety of delights. It used to serve as the former resorts buffet space and boasts floor to ceiling windows that let in an ample amount of natural light. We’re looking forward to eating at the Black Sheep Restaurant in the future to taste all the new delicacies.
Room Service
On our last day (while staying at the Melody Maker Cancun), we embraced the lazy and ordered room service. For breakfast, you can order set menu’s that have 5-6 different courses each. We found this very helpful as no matter what we ordered, as we always had juice, fruit, sweet, and a main option. And with witty names like “Quiet Wake Up” and “High Voltage”, you’ll want to order as much as possible. Room service is a flat fee of $5 USD each time you order (unlimited number of dishes) which we found reasonable. We aren’t sure of the room service situation at the Armar House as they have yet to share any details about it (as of the summer of 2022).
Talavera Restaurant Tereva Restaurant
The Talavera Mexican Restaurant is a great place to grab a quick bite for lunch for a traditional dish for dinner. Its bright atmosphere adds to the cultural flare and we enjoyed the bright and vibrant decorative accents.
Botanico Restaurant
We loved the style and tasty Asian-inspired dishes of the Botanico restaurant. The set menu has elevated classics with stunning plating techniques. We ended up returning here two nights in a row because we enjoyed it so much!
AH Bar Melody Maker Restaurant
This former restaurant had a rotating set menu by renowned executive Chef DeMeyers. The local and vibrant flavour combinations delighted our palettes back then.
Now the AH Bar, this intimate area still boasts its plush, classic seating, and classic décor.
1 >> Pools & Beach
The main area has two pool areas with superb ocean views. The upper pool is more laid back while the lower pool is where the party happens. Both of these pools have a swim-up bar so floating in the water all day is always a possibility.
If you take the elevator to the deck, you’ll find the adults-only pool and whirlpools. Enjoy fantastic views of the Cancun views surrounding you. This area is perfect for quiet time during the day and early evening.
The beach holds over 100 plush beach beds that are unbelievably comfortable. I’m telling you, put on an extra thick layer of sunscreen on as you MAY fall asleep. Because there are so many options of where to hang out on the property, you never have to feel the stress of not having a place of your own to soak up the sun.
