After scouring the internet for hours doing research and still ending up disappointed with our “all-inclusive” experiences, we decided to try our luck at adults-only luxury resorts. Looking at pictures doesn’t cut it sometimes, so our list is based on our personal experience at all of the featured resorts.
#3 Secrets Puerto Los Cabos
Get ready to feel like a celebrity. Located in an exclusive community surrounded by mountains and the Baja desert, you’ll find the ultimate privacy here. Enjoy quiet sunrise walks down the 3 mile stretch of untouched beach; play in the (multi-level) pools and on the adjacent gold course. Plus, indulge in decadence at one of their signature restaurants.

#2 The Royal Playa del Carmen
This adults-only resort has a prime spot on the beach and is steps away from the famous 5th Ave. With a hammock on your balcony, cabanas on the beach, and a tranquil quiet pool, you can always find a peaceful place to relax. We loved the nightly shows in the lobby, their Olympic size swimming pool, as well as the romantic possibilities. See a tour of our room here.

#1 Secrets Playa Mujeres
Located in a gated community, this eco-chic adults-only resort has thoughtful features like no other. You can enjoy exclusive romantic breakfasts and dinners. They have incredible themed parties with endless entertainment, food, and fun.
You can venture out on the hobie cat and have hours of fun in the pools. You also have access to a whole lot more at Dreams Playa Mujeres next door, which is a family resort. Dreams have 65, 000 square feet of pools, a waterpark, waterslides, a lazy river, kids club and teens club with rock climbing wall, batting cage, a non-alcoholic bar and so much more!
